Variations - (Pathanthara)
In some books, the rAga is mentioned as ‘kuranji’.
2 – samaraika vIra – samaraika dhIra. As ‘dhIra’ is appearing again in the second line of the caraNa, this has been taken as ‘vIra’.
3 – garva mAnava – garva mAnasa. In all the books, the meaning derived is ‘beyond the ken of men of arrogance’. Therefore, ‘mAnava’ has been adopted.
